The nearest town is Bangor, a maritime resort with an impressive history of monastic settlements dating back to the sixth century. Five minutes' drive will take you into town where you will enjoy sight-seeing, shopping and a mouth-watering array of excellent restaurants.
The lively city of Belfast lies just over ten miles along the shores of Belfast Lough. The city offers all the facilities demanded of tourists on a city break. New shopping precincts, restaurants and centres of entertainment are springing up all the time.
